Simpson Strong-Tie Academic Scholarships

Simpson Strong-Tie Company, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist architecture, structural and civil engineering and construction management students. The Student Scholarship program offers scholarships to support education and encourage the design and building of safer structures in our communities.

The student scholarship program is part of the Strong-Tie Undergraduate Fellowship. Scholarship recipients are automatically part of the Fellowship. Benefits and more information about the Strong-Tie Undergraduate Fellowship can be found here.

Since 1999, the Simpson Strong-Tie Student Scholarship program has granted annual scholarships to eligible college students in the fields of architecture, structural and civil engineering and construction management technology. The Student Scholarship program offers financial aid to students to support their education and encourage them in the design and building of safer structures in our communities. To date, Simpson Strong-Tie has provided over $1.8 million to more than 1,100 students at hundreds of colleges and universities across the country.  

To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate program as juniors or seniors (at least 60 semester hours or equivalent) in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an eligible four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.  

This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship America, which is the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability or national origin. 

Awards

Up to one hundred twenty (120) $3,000 scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate students for the 2024-2025 academic year. Awards do not automatically renew, but students may reapply to the scholarship program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Application

Interested students must complete the online application no later than March 15, 2024. The scholarship will open on January 9, 2024. Grade reports are not acceptable and online transcripts must display student name, school name, grade and credit hours earned for each course, and the term in which each course was taken. Applicants will receive an email acknowledging the receipt of their application. 

Applicants are responsible for gathering and submitting all necessary information. Applications are evaluated on the information supplied; therefore, answer all questions as completely as possible. Incomplete or ineligible applications will not be evaluated. All information received is considered confidential and is reviewed only by Scholarship America.
